1-on-1 self-directed education.
Empowerment through choice.
This page dives deeper into who and how we serve. We work with homeschool learners and unschoolers; we provide individualized guidance for youth attending school; and we work with those working toward school. What goals do you want to see to success?
🏹🎯
We empower all learners to choose through highly personalized support that is flexible, consistent, and always self-directed. We offer 1-on-1 guidance for the sake of people realizing their genius. It looks more like mentoring or coaching than tutoring, though it can include academic support— if and only if the learner chooses it! Scroll down for a visual example of our work.
Everyone gets something different because everyone is different.
Join as a member of ODBP – as a learner, their family member, or as an educator.
Learners benefit from 1-on-1 self-directed education guidance from a professional educator.
Community events with other self-directed learners, families, and educators.
If your child is a homeschooler, ask us about supporting you with paperwork. We may be able to help with your state and county homeschool requirements.
🌿 Through weekly check-ins with educators, learners will:
identify their goals, strengths, and needs,
utilize opportunities and resources found by ODBP educator,
move toward their goals,
demonstrate learning (to self, family, community, and/or the world),
celebrate accomplishments, reflect on setbacks, and examine what led to those moments of success or failure.
☀️ Educators facilitate the learning and development processes through:
purposeful questioning,
reminding learners of their track while staying flexible,
implementing activities,
locating and coordinating resources and opportunities,
staying in close communication with families,
intentionally observing demonstrations of learning to take note of learner’s progress and areas of improvement,
and providing feedback and assessments in ways best suited for that learner.
